From its discovery by Columbus and his sailors during their second Voyage to the new world on Monday the 4th of November 1493, when they landed on an Island in the Lesser Antilles of West Indies, the Pineapple fruit (anas comosus) "the flavour and fragrance of which astonished them" has come a long way to the plantations held by Harrisons Malayalam. Currently HML estates have over 1000 ha. under pineapple cultivation. HML is easily the single largest cultivator of pineapple in the country where the best of package of practices with regard to cultivation etc. are being followed. Export quality pineapple is obtained from these lands with yields being among the highest in the industry. With an annual production of over 25,000 tones this pineapple currently caters to the far reaches of the indian domestic markets besides offering export potential to the Middle East and other European and Transamerican countries.

Harrisons has large tracts of area under the exotic fruit "Passion Fruit" (passiflora edulis) with unlimited potential in the export markets all over the world. Many varieties of Banana including the Kerala's special variety Nendran are also cultivated over large areas. Kerala is the land of spices and Harrisons with its strategically located estates all over Kerala is ideally suited to arrange for supplying the demands of the market at the farm gate at competitive rates. Clove, Pepper including Black pepper,White pepper, Organic pepper, Chillies, Ginger, Cardamom are among the spices grown in ideal agroclimatic locations in various estates of the company from the under the foot hills of Achencoil to the Munnar and beautiful Vandiperyiar and Wyanad hills. The company has areas under other crops such as cocoa - catering to the needs of the market leader Cadburys besides Coconut, Arecanut and Medicinal plants such as alpinia galanga (Kacholam).
